How clean is
your clean?

Frequently washing your hands and effectively cleaning high touch areas and surfaces is important, are you sure that your cleaning products and procedures are giving you the required results!

Clean Compliance uses Hygenia™ SystemSure to monitor the efficiency of your commercial and domestic cleaning products and procedures.

We can provide a once off consultation or regular monitoring and testing of your home, facility or office.

ATP Monitoring and Testing

Are the cleaning products and procedures you are using giving you the required results?

ATP testing monitors the efficiency of your commercial and domestic cleaning products and procedures.

Put your cleaning to the test

Clean Compliance uses Hygenia ™ ATP monitoring systems to :

  • Measure the efficiency of cleaning procedures and products.
  • Verify that high touch areas have been cleaned to standard.
  • Verify hand washing effectivness

Traces of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) detected on a surface indicate improper cleaning and the presence of contamination, including bodily fluids, faecal matter, bacteria, food residue and allergens.

A higher ATP level indicates a higher level of contamination and potential health risk.

What is SystemSURE Plus?
  • It uses a process which monitors levels of ATP Bioluminescence (ATP = Adenosine Triphosphate which is the universal energy carrier in all living things).
  • It measures levels of contamination on surfaces (both environmental and equipment) to give a basic indicator of cleanliness.
  • It’s a rapid test, providing quick results at point of use.
  • It provides a direct, objective measurement to verify cleanliness.

What is ATP?

ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is a molecule found in all plants, animal and microbial cells (living or once–living). All organic matter contains ATP, including blood saliva, bacteria, mold and microorganisms. Specifically in today’s environment, the organic matter that is most concerning comes from bodily fluids and hand contact. The detection of an unacceptable level of ATP on a surface is an indication of a high probability of cross-contamination and risk of infection.

What is an RLU?

An RLU or a Relative Light Unit measures the light produced by the chemical reaction, bioluminescence. When a hygiene swab test is activated, this chemical reaction generates a light output. The Hygenia SystemSure luminometer quantifies this light with an RLU output.

The RLU reading is directly proportional to the amount of ATP collected from the sample. A high RLU reading indicates a large amount of ATP at the test location. This in turn indicates improper cleaning and the presence of potential contaminants. Effective cleaning products and procedures result in less ATP at the location. Lower ATP levels produce smaller amounts of light output during the bioluminescence reaction and consequently, a lower RLU reading.
